This is a heart
wrenching documentary for the whole family meant to be
the ultimate anti-war statement. Violence creates trauma
and in return a vicious circle of violence.
Having grown up in war times and lived most of my life
volunteering in refugee camps, children’s prisons,
dealing with trauma. I know how important is it for
adults to remember the children: we tend to forget that
they are more emotionally vulnerable and at tune to the
trauma that surrounds them.
As such, at the end of the day the true victim of war
are the children and if nothing is done this cycle will
continue and intensify. Given the emotional journey and
bravery of these children I found it appropriate to
combine documentary with experimental film to present
the war from the eyes of these lovely children: through
their acting, drawing and free discussion they reveal
the traumatizing reality of the war and the beautiful
innocence of the child...
