"About the Footage and the Movie"

The footage for this film was captured by celebrated Palestinian Film Maker and Artist, Mai Masri. During the war of 2006 in Lebanon she captured this footage and much more all under the bombings and airstrikes. After completing her award winning documentary 33 Days about the war in Lebanon, she was kind enough to allow me access to the outtakes from that summer of 2006 in Beirut.

Given the emotional journey and bravery of these children I found it appropriate to combine documentary with experimental film to present the war from the eyes of these lovely children: through their acting, drawing and free discussion they reveal the traumatizing reality of the war and the beautiful innocence of the child. Thus creating this very moving experimental existential documentary.
